Computer Lab and Signup Information

The Cudahy Family Library provides 18 computers for public use in the Computer Lab. These computers may be used to access the Internet, a variety of reference databases, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2000. In addition, a networked scanner is available for use at any of the workstations. Users are allowed 2 hours of computer time in the computer lab each day.

The Library also provides computers in two individual study rooms, with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2000 software available on them.

Library users may make reservations for computers in the lab up to three days in advance from any workstation in the Library. Reservations are made in one-hour blocks, on the hour and the half hour.

In order to use the Library's Computer Lab or to print from any library computer, patrons must have a valid Milwaukee County Federated Library System (MCFLS) library card. Printouts may be made on a black-and-white laser printer for 10¢ or on a color inkjet printer for 50¢. Patrons will need to add money to their library printing account before beginning to print.

Patrons who are not eligible for a MCFLS library card may use a visitor card, available at the Circulation Desk for $2.50. Users will need to present one form of identification to receive a visitor card.
