World Wide Knit in Public Day

Come celebrate with us! World Wide Knit in Public Day began in 2005 in Denmark as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other's company. Bring your lawn chair, your project, and join us on the south side of the Library Lawn. All types of crafters are welcome.

Diamond tickets cost $8.00 and can be used any time.

Silver tickets cost $6.50 but cannot be used for movies beginning after 5:30pm on Saturdays or at Extra Special Attraction features.

Cudahy's 3M Cloud eBooks

Try out this new, easy way to read FREE eBooks from the Cudahy Family Library!  Come in to check out books from the kiosk at the library OR install an app on your computer or device and check them out from home.  Visit to download the free app, or search for "3M Cloud Library" in the Google Play or iTunes stores.  Our eBooks can be checked out and read with smartphones, tablets, computers, and most eBook readers.


Sheridan Park 100th Anniversary Booklet for Sale

In celebration of Sheridan's Park 100th anniversary in 2014, Library staff have published a 44-page, illustrated history of the park.  The booklet is available for purchase at the Circulation Desk for $10.00.  Learn about the history of the park, take a look at some historic photos, and read through some wonderful personal recollections!


Free Digital Magazines Now Available!

The Cudahy Family Library has subscribed to a great new service called Zinio that allows you to download the digital copies of many popular magazines to your computer, tablet, or mobile device.  Over 100 popular magazines such as Newsweek, US Weekly, and National Geographic are available at no charge.  Download as many as you want; keep them as long as you want!

iPads Now Available to Borrow

The Cudahy Family Library has purchased iPad 2s for our patrons to check out and use anywhere in the Library.  Library card holders age 18 and up may borrow an iPad for up to 2 hours per day.  The iPads are pre-loaded with many fun and useful apps as well as a variety of classic eBooks.  See the adult reference librarian to check one out today! 

NEW!  A limited number of iPads are now available for 7-day loans - take one home and get comfortable with this great technology!

The iPads were made possible thanks to generous funding from Ladish Co. Foundation and the Friends of Cudahy Library.
